Welcome to Binfield Community Centre
Construction of the net zero centre began in March 2022 and was completed early in 2023. The building was a collaboration between Bracknell Forest Council and Frimley Health and Care ICS who worked in partnership with Binfield Parish Council, Binfield GP Surgery and Osborne to create a community hub that would provide two key functions—a community centre and GP/health centre. The vision for the building was to provide a community centre that would complement the health services.
Binfield Parish Council took on the management of the centre in March 2024. This fantastic, fully accessible facility, is able to provide many wellbeing and community services under one roof and gives opportunities for the growing community of Binfield to come together.
Community Centre Facilities
The Hall
The spacious hall is 10.5m x 16m
It has a double height ceiling and a sprung floor making it ideal for sporting and leisure activities. The flexible design of the space, along with acoustic panels, integrated sound system, Wi-Fi and projection screen can also be used for corporate events or parties.
Kitchen
There is a fully fitted kitchen available. There is access through to the hall via a hatch counter and doorway. Kitchen facilities include an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer, hot water boiler and microwave. Crockery available on request.
Starling – Multiuse Room
This fabulous room is 7.2m x 8m.
With its sprung floor, mirrored wall and dance barre, this room has been designed for all types of fitness and wellbeing classes. The room includes a large screen and integrated sound system and on a warm day, there are doors leading to a small patio area.
Swift & Robin Meeting Rooms
The flexible meeting rooms can be split into two separate spaces measuring 4.2m x 6.5m each using the moveable wall or used as one larger room. Wi-Fi, wall mounted screens and whiteboards are available to help make your meetings run efficiently. Each room has access to a small outside patio area.
Changing Places
The community centre is designed to be fully accessible to everyone. There are two accessible facilities, the first comprises a toilet and sink. The second facility, measuring 12.24m square, has a height adjustable sink, ceiling mounted hoist, height adjustable changing/wash bench and toilet. Each facility has grab rails and emergency alarms.
There is also a baby change/feeding room available.
