York Road
Located at RG42 5JY
Site Facilities
This green space is situated amongst a residential area in-between York Road and the Red Rose allotments.
The Council obtained planning permission in 2019 to add car parking and improve access from York Road. This work will be carried out in 2020 and will add 14 bays, 2 of which will be disabled bays. The play area will then be redeveloped to create an exciting new play “garden” with new play equipment and seating, suitable for young families.
NEW! Play area open for York Road
Following the votes received from a public consultation (October-November 2020), and discussions made during the Parish Council meeting held on Tuesday 10 November 2020, Binfield Parish Council appointed eibe Play Ltd to redevelop the York Road Play Area.
Further talks took place on site in December 2020, with works progressing during Spring 2021, and the new play area opened on 22 May 2021.
Dog walkers
Dogs are not allowed on the grassed area.

Community Garden
Binfield’s first community garden, to the rear of the new parish office, was established in 2019. This piece of land is managed by the The Foxes’ Den, who also manage the community café inside the Parish Council building. The Foxes’ Den hope to work with the community to grow herbs for the café’s kitchen as well as design some useful projects in which residents may wish to get involved.
In the meantime, while The Foxes’ Den create their community garden plans, we have the residents of Spoonton – Parish of Binfield to keep an eye on the garden!
If you have an interest in gardening and would like to share this with the wider community why not email hello@foxesden.co.uk.
