This walk is all on gravel paths or tarmac and is suitable for families with buggies
- Wicks Green and Billingbear – 3 kilometres
This walk includes two grassy paths which can be muddy after rain. It is not recommended for buggies. Dogs should be kept on leads in the Billingbear section

- Blue Mountain and Jocks Lane – 4 kilometres
This walk includes one section which can be muddy after rain, but it is still suitable for families with buggies. This is also a good route for dog walkers.
Rights of Way
A public Rights of Way is a route which the public has a legal right to use. They can be broken down into 4 categories, each with different legal status:
- Footpaths – may be used by people on foot
- Bridleways – may be used for walking, riding or leading a horse, or cycling – cyclists must give way to pedestrians and riders
- Restricted byways – can be used by pedestrians, horse riders, cyclists and horse-drawn carts and carriages
- Byways – can be used by wheeled vehicles of any kind, but predominantly used for walking or for riding horses
You can find public Rights of Way using Bracknell Forest Council’s online map.

Dog Walking
Binfield has some beautiful places to go dog walking.
All our Parks and Open Spaces are dog friendly, but for health and safety reasons, dogs are not permitted in playgrounds. In some parks dogs are NOT permitted off the lead and must stay off of the grass. Popes Meadow and Wicks Green offer good dog walking spaces with dogs off the lead able to explore these spaces. There are also Walks & Rights of Way to enjoy with your dog.
Dog fouling is unpleasant and can be a health hazard. We politely remind dog owners that they have a legal duty to clean up every time their dog fouls in a public place and request you always clean up after your dog.
Some Dogs Need Space
If you see a dog with a YELLOW ribbon, bandana or similar on the leash or on the dog, this is a dog which needs some space. The dog may have health issues, be a rescue dog being rehabilitated, have had a bad experience with another dog or is not the kind of friendly dog which always wants to say “Hi!”, be nervous or shy, or other dogs cause it stress.
You can find more information at registered charity Yellow Dog UK.
